Although ArcherIRM’s pricing is not disclosed on their website, I was still able to find some pricing information from customers of the platform.

In this guide, I’ll cover everything that is known about ArcherIRM’s pricing structure, including how they calculate their pricing and reported numbers.

➡️ I’ll also introduce you to an ArcherIRM alternative with a more affordable pricing structure, that is quick to set up, and has premium customer support without having to pay 6 figures a year.

How Does ArcherIRM Calculate Its Pricing?

ArcherIRM uses a tiered, per-use-case licensing model that is typically per module or use case (e.g., audit, GRC, third-party risk), scaled by your organization’s size (i.e., number of employees).

The final price will be determined by:

  • Specific modules that you’ll need, so you are only paying for features your team will use. These include modules and applications for enterprise risk management, policies and procedures management, and incident management.
  • Number of users that you’ll need.
  • Contract terms, with the platform allegedly providing discounts for longer contracts.
  • Whether you want the solution to be hosted on-premise or in a SaaS version, each of which with its pricing structure.
  • Whether you want to use Archer’s Archer Exchange applications, which provide access to pre-built App-Packs, Integrations, Tools & Utilities.

‘’Understand integration/connectors as these may add cost to your projects.’’ – Capterra Review.

  • The implementation fee.

Similar to tools like Jira, larger organizations typically pay a lower per-employee rate.

💡 The platform also offers a perpetual license model that lets you own the software and have the option of purchasing a basic or enhanced maintenance contract. The maintenance contract will be based on a % of the perpetual license cost.

Does ArcherIRM Have A Free Plan Or A Free Trial?

As of June 2025, ArcherIRM does not offer a free plan or a free trial in its offering.

This is largely because the platform is complex to set up, and you’ll have to pay to implement it before you can use it.

How Much Does ArcherIRM Really Cost?

Archer’s GRC platform has been reported to start from around $55,000 per year for its basic suite, although the exact cost would depend on the specific features and services your team will need.

Another key finding from insiders is that there are eight levels of the platform, with small implementations (1-2 use cases) starting at $14,000 per year.

As for the implementation, I was not able to find exact numbers, but I did find this comparison guide between 6clicks and Archer, where 6clicks mentions that Archer’s implementation can be up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Lastly, another source mentions that a 1-month single-license subscription costs ~$12,000 per month (implying ~$144K/year for one user).

⚠️ Disclaimer: ArcherIRM’s pricing model is fully custom, with each client receiving a different quote for their use case. The aim of this section was to give you a perspective on what you can expect from the tool, but you might not be charged these exact prices.

Does ArcherIRM Provide Good Value for Money?

Overall, users of the platform seem to be satisfied with the product’s capabilities, despite being at the higher end of the price scale.

One verified user of the GRC solution mentions that its features and customization are better than those of other cheaper products on the market.

‘’This product is at the higher end of the price scale, but it provides better, more accessible functionality and customization than cheaper products.’’ PeerSpot Review.

Despite this, some users are not satisfied with the fact that the initial purchase is relatively affordable, and then you’ll have to renew the license annually and also buy a license for each module.

‘’The initial purchase is cheap. You pay a nominal price to start, then renew the license annually. You also must buy a license for each module. I'm not too fond of that aspect of the licensing model. You buy the elephant and then spend more money to feed the elephant.’’ – PeerSpot Review.

Looking For an ArcherIRM Alternative?

All things considered, ArcherIRM was built for enterprises in mind. Users of the platform are happy with its functionality, but agree that the cost would be prohibitive for a small or medium-scale company.

‘’Archer is expensive compared to other GRC tools. The product is generally used in multi-national companies like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Goldman, or e-commerce. They all use Archer. The cost would be prohibitive for a small or medium-scale company.’’ PeerSpot Review.

People have been looking for Archer alternatives not only due to the expensive pricing of the solution, but also because:

  • The platform’s UI is not user-friendly, which makes the tool hard to use.
  • Creating custom dashboards requires a full-time dedicated expert.
  • There are limited customization options for capabilities that were not out-of-the-box

‘’It was very nuanced to create the custom dashboards + necessary approval workflows and required multiple resources on our end, including hiring a full-time dedicated Archer RSA expert on our team.’’ G2 Review.
