Managing complexity without sacrificing simplicity

Active3D, a global experience design studio known for experiential exhibits, brand activation, and interactive storytelling, faced growing complexity managing projects across immersive platforms and client environments. Although the Active3D pipeline has similar phases for each project, each client has their own unique needs for UIUX, logistics, compliance, and integrations. As the team and projects grew, so did the need to scale the tracking of the myriad of details within the projects and quickly view project details as a whole, or departmentally during each phase of production.

The speed, flexibility, and customization options in SmartSuite has led to better overall enthusiasm and ticket compliance across the whole team. As an experience design studio, the cultural acceptance of project management tools is very much a priority. By literally getting the team on the same page (or dashboard) less time is spent searching for project requirements and assets while more time is devoted to guest experience details and the extras that deliver best-in-class interactive and exhibits.

The team now uses dashboards to manage projects from intake to delivery, gaining real-time visibility into hours by department. This transformation not only streamlined production but empowered non-technical users to interact directly with project data without relying on external platforms.

Although full optimization reporting is still in development, SmartSuite's team is actively collaborating with Marcel to bring this vision to life, validating its relevance across agency partners. This partnership has turned Active3D into a key contributor to SmartSuite's roadmap.
