Federico works in Grupo AFAL’s digital transformation team, and at some point, there were 70 different project requirements for his team to create.
Assuming that the average solution took about 3-6 months to create, it would have taken him more than a decade to accommodate his organization’s digitalization transformation.
Originally, Federico and his team were using a low-code solution called APEX by Oracle and were building custom C# applications – but the development process took months.
He and his team of 6 needed a way to serve their internal customers much faster and more cost-effectively because each project was taking them between $10,000 and $20,000 to develop.

The Solution
Started developing dozens of internal ‘’solutions’’ to boost productivity
When Federico found SmartSuite, he and his team started building dozens of solutions with the help of consultants who specialized in low-code development.
For example, he built a project management dashboard where they can manage projects, the high-level digitalization plan, payments, bugs, and testing scenarios.
After that, they started building automations for internal use cases, such as internal training requests and new employee onboarding.

Reduced project costs from ~$20,000 per project down to ~$3,000 per solution
Federico’s team is now able to develop solutions for about $3,000 instead of the $10,000 – $20,000 it took them inside of Oracle’s APEX.
That means they are now able to develop more solutions with the budget that they have to work with.
Apart from that, Federico was able to simplify the product management and adoption across his organization because his internal team now spends less time explaining all of their needs.
His team also does not have to spend time on different testing scenarios or designing architectural diagrams since the documentation with SmartSuite is simpler.
