Although Riskonnect does not publicly disclose its pricing on its website, I still found some reported pricing numbers for the cost of the software to help you determine if the platform is the right risk management choice for your organization.

In this guide, I’ll cover everything that is known about Riskonnect’s pricing structure, including how they calculate their pricing and reported numbers.

💡 I’ll also introduce you to a Riskonnect alternative that has a more affordable pricing structure, is quick to set up, and comes with premium customer support without paying 6 figures a year.

How Does Riskonnect Calculate Its Pricing?

Riskonnect’s pricing is based on a modular, user-based pricing model that consists of several key components:

  • Annual subscription fees: The platform is licensed on a per-user basis with annual subscription terms.

➡️ Different user types have varying access levels and pricing, including System Administrators, Enterprise Users, and Risk Express licenses.

  • Modular pricing structure: You can select specific modules based on their requirements, including Risk Management Information System (RMIS), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Compliance, Third-Party Risk Management, and Business Continuity & Resilience.
  • Professional services: Implementation fees are typically one-time costs, with ongoing annual service hours available for additional support.

➡️ These services include project management, technical configuration, training, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Additional components: The pricing model also includes Data Centre fees for processing and storage, Intake portal licensing, and various support tiers. Enhanced services such as data migration, additional configuration, and specialized training are available for project-specific fees.

💡 Unlike many competitors in the GRC space, Riskonnect typically offers multi-year contract terms with automatic renewal clauses.

Does Riskonnect Have A Free Plan Or A Free Trial?

As of July 2025, Riskonnect does not offer a free plan or a lifetime free version of its enterprise-grade risk management software.

➡️ While some sources indicate that free trials may be available upon request, I found that availability appears to be inconsistent.

This is because the platform requires contacting sales for all pricing quotes and trial access.

You can use a vendor like SelectHub to request a free trial of Riskonnect.

How Much Does Riskonnect Really Cost?

Something that I found was that the platform's pricing varies significantly based on the licensing type, number of users, and specific modules selected.

For instance, the UK government pricing shows rates from £660 per named user per year for a 100-user scenario, while specialized modules like SMCR Compliance have tiered pricing structures.

According to Riskonnect itself, its pricing varies significantly depending on scale and requirements:

  • Starting Costs: Enterprise implementations begin at $283,000 annually for licensing fees.
  • Implementation Costs: One-time implementation typically ranges from $258,000 (Riskonnect services) plus $142,000 (customer internal costs).

There’s also an option that I found for SMEs, which is the G-cloud framework:

  • Active Risk Manager: Starting from £28,858 per year for 10 users
  • Business Continuity & Resilience: £30,000 upwards depending on your organization’s size.
  • Implementation: £20,000 for standard implementation.

A modular pricing example that I also found includes the Active Risk Manager, which starts at a £20,000 one-time fee with additional annual licensing and SMCR Compliance, whereas System Administrators start at £1,430 per annum, and regular user pricing from £1,225 per user (1-10 users) to £550 per user (11-50 users).

Additionally, there’s a 5% charge for the sandbox of the total annual user subscription and also an 18% charge for the annual subscriptions for customer support.

➡️ Lastly, we can see that the professional services pricing costs £1,275 per day.

Is Riskonnect Worth The Cost?

Enterprise users of the platform seem to be fond of the solution, noting how customizable it is and how it has become their one source for all the claims, exposures, policies, safety data, and premiums.

Despite the cost, there’s also an opportunity for a return on investment. A case study of a financial services firm revealed:

  • Total 3-year investment: $683,000.
  • Annual licensing: $283,000.
  • Implementation costs: $400,000 total.
  • 3-year ROI: 280% ($2.6 million in benefits).

However, some users have been looking to switch from Riskonnect due to its expensive pricing, the learning curve to customize and set up the platform, and the long implementation time.

Starting off with when you’re purchasing the tool, the average reported implementation time is about 10 months.

Apart from the initial implementation, a user of Riskonnect notes that requested changes post-implementation can take between 2-3 weeks to be completed.

‘’Requested changes can sometimes take two or three weeks to implement.’’ – G2 Review.

Next up, some users feel overwhelmed with the platform’s sea of features, especially when starting out with the tool.

That’d also make wider user adoption more difficult in the long run when you have to train each employee how to utilize the software.

‘’The only dislike I would say I have is in the beginning when using the platform, it can be overwhelming because there is access to so much information, but the more I have worked in it, the ability to work it comes a lot more naturally.’’ – G2 Review.

And lastly, even though Riskonnect’s Active Risk Manager software costs a one-time fee, there are additional fees, such as:

  • Annual licensing fees per named user.
  • Implementation cost, which Riskonnect claims costs about $142,000.

That can bring the cost up to $283,000/year, bringing it to a total of $683,000 for the complete solution.
